Homemade Baking Mix (like Bisquick)

10 cups of flour
1 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
1 1/2 tablespoon Soda
1 3/4 cups Powdered Milk
3 teaspoons Cream of Tartar
2 1/2 cups Vegetable Shortening

In large bowl, sift together all dry ingredients. Blend well.
Cut in shortening until evenly distributed.
Mixture will be rough in texture.
Store in container of zip lock bag, in cool dry place.
Use as you would Bisquick

It's always so nice to find like minded people! I love finding more homeschooling Christian families! I am looking forward to your frugal recipes!

Have a great weekend!

So if you put powdered milk in, would you use water as your liquid (as opposed to milk)?

Thanks for the recipe!
