Glaen Book Review & Giveaway

Glaen: A Novel Message on Romance, Love and Relating

~ Fred Lybrand (Author)

What a fun book this was to read. The character of this book~ Annie finds herself stumped about love. Her parent’s divorce left her with many questions. Her teenage sister is obsessed with the popularity of having a boyfriend~any boyfriend. She has a best friend who is continually running about with her latest conquest. Annie is confused about love. She is on a mission to find out if there is a such a thing as true love. She is unwilling to spend her life seeking for a relationship when they all seem superficial. How can you be in love with a new person each day of the week?

A white haired professor named Glaen Breuch gives Annie a strange assignment. The assignment takes this college grad-student on a discovery about friendship, dating, romance and marriage. In her search she unlocks the secrets to real relationships.

She learns that telling the truth in relationships changes everything in friendship, family, and love. She also learns that happiness can’t be found in a relationship but rather with God.

The Author~Dr Lybrand wrote this book in a story form but it is so much more. As you read this book you question yourself about your ideas and the way you relate in your relationships. In the end he gives you the real solutions to finding and having relationships that please God and are healthy. I have to be honest never have I read an informative book written in this manner. It was refreshing and soul searching. The kind of book that is good to kick up your feet with a Diet Coke and read in one sitting!

This is a great book for anyone waiting for their live mate but offers solutions to all relationships. I truly enjoyed reading this book. It faces the question~ is it best to date or just trust God to bring the right person in your life? As a Mom I would read this book before handing it to a mature teen.

“ Almost all our of sorrows spring out of our relations with other people.” – Schopenhauer
