Yet ~ she finds a new friend in Sawyer Thompson who has suffered some scars of his own. He had been adopted by his Amish family but never seemed to really fit it. Laura lets down her guard~ after all Sawyer is planning on leaving the Amish~ or isn't he.
Together Laura and Sawyer learn to trust again and mend some of those scars. But can this friendship be anything more than friendship? Does Laura get her revenge? Does Sawyer leave the Amish? You just have to read the book to find out.
