Salt Painting~ Art Lesson

My niece~ Brooklyn ~only wanted to come spend the day doing art with her Aunt Carrie~ for her birthday. So that is just what we did. She helped me get all my spring art projects lined out for my Art Class. We had so much fun. We started the day with donuts and crafted until time to order pizza.

You will need~

watercolor paper
watercolor paints (watered down a lot)
glue
paintbrushes
salt
clear coat spray paint

Step 1~
Make design using glue.

Step 2~ Sprinkle salt all over the glue.

Step 3~
Use a paintbrush to soak watercolor paint into the salt. Be careful not to drag the glue. Let it dry and spray with a clear coat of paint to seal it.

We ended the day with a Hallmark movie and a matching pedi. Guess who picked the color?

How adorable is that Aunt Carrie! What a special honor from your niece! That looks like such a fun day! I may have to try that craft with my 1st graders! And the pedi to end a special day! :0)
