This morning I woke up with some hurt in my heart. Sometimes you just can't share everything on a blog post for others to read but I know you know what I mean. At times we can only take our burdens to Jesus.
Every day the reality is that we are focused on someone or something. It can be our work or chores as we remember Martha was in the Bible. She was a type-A person with an agenda. Or like me this morning~ maybe you woke up with some heavy burdens that you just can't share. We all will be focused on something today. We can allow our thoughts to be consumed by troubles or trials.
Or~ today we could choose to be like Martha's sister~ Mary who was focused on sitting at the feet of Jesus.
I am sick and tired of letting my focus be on the troubles and trials of this life.
When I sit at the feet of Jesus and focus on all that He has done for me all those troubles and trials just fade into the background. The burdens are lifted and before long I have a song in my heart and joy in my step.
Only Jesus can bring balance to our life as we surrender our agenda and every priority to His plan. He can bring sweet peace even in the midst of trouble and trials.

Such a great post Carrie, for 35 years I have carried a heavy burden in my heart every 15th of March due to one person making a passing comment that should have come and gone. I know on that day, that I must rely on Jesus! Thanks for being so awesome!
Amen! Perfectly said friend.
Woolie hugs

Awww. There's no better place to be than at the feet of Jesus. Prayers for you!
Ahhh! A sister in heart too! If you read my blog post, I said pretty much the same thing. I have a burden on my heart that isn't mine to share online and it's weighing me down bigtime. But Jesus know and we can ask for prayer anyway. And that my sister, is exactly what I'll be doing for you. Praying. It's the best thing we can do for each other.
Blessings,
Betsy

Oh Carrie,
So sorry you have a hurting heart....Been there/done that! I guess most people can feel that. That is part of this Earthly life. But you are so right to place your heart at Jesus' feet. Never any pain there. You are in my thoughts and saying a prayer.
Hugs,
Tanya
Hello Carrie, Sitting at His feet is the only place to be when we are burdened. Happy Spring!!
Blessings, Roxy
Thank you for this post. I am in the same place...a broken heart that I is too personal and private to share. Thank you so much for this reminder that Jesus is always there for us and will comfort us and take our hurt and replace it with His love. I fight the anxiety and discouragement with His word.
Trails in this life can be hard to bear. Without them, it would be even harder to grow in our Lord Jesus Christ. May the Lord uplift and give you His continual joy.
Praying for you right now Carrie. Yes, keep your eyes fixed on HIM! I have been blessed recently with Isaiah 43:1b-3a...may the LORD use it to bless your heart, too.
With Love,
Camille
