How To Pop Fantastic Microwave Popcorn~

Tomorrow morning we have granite counter tops being installed in the kitchen at our new house. So tonight we prepared the kitchen~ killing the power to our stove.  I decided to try my luck at some microwave popcorn. It was really good!

Place 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels in a Pyrex bowl. Cover the bowl with a ceramic plate. Making sure the plate covers the bowl well. Microwave about 3 minutes ~ give or take. Watch closely until you notice the kernels have stopped popping.

Be careful when removing bowl from the microwave because it will be very hot and use pot holders to remove bowl from the microwave. Immediately remove lid to keep popcorn from becoming soggy.

No oil needed~ no waste and tastes real close to stove popped version.

Yum! Thanks for telling us about this way to make popcorn. I'll have to try it.

Please post pictures of your new countertops so we can all drool over them. :-)

Blessings,
Betsy

We make ours in the microwave but in a paper lunch sack with 1/4 cup of popcorn. I like the idea of using a pyrex bowl though, no waste that way!
