
16 oz. dried navy beans
1 meaty hambone from cooked ham
1 cup cooked ham, chopped
3/4 c. onion, dices
3 stalks celery, chopped
1/2 carrot, peeled and grated
2 bay leaves
1/2 t. garlic powder
1/2 t. seasoned salt
1/4 t. pepper
1/2 t. dried parsley
1/8 t. dried thyme
The night before, cover beans with water in a bowl and let stand overnight. Add cooked ham bone, beans, and all other ingredients in a big pot and cover with water. Cook for about one hour or until beans are tender. Discard bay leaves
