Chicken & Wild Rice Soup~

This recipe is so yummy~

2 quarts of chicken stock
1 cooked chicken~ cool and remove meat
1 cup celery chopped
1 cup carrots~sliced
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 package Uncle Ben's Wild Rice Mix

* Cook rice according to directions on the box.
*Bring chicken broth to a boil, add carrots celery and onions until cooked.
* Add cooked chicken and wild rice~add salt and pepper to taste.

*Make a rue.

1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup flour
2 cups milk
1/2 cup half and half
*Add kosher salt and pepper to taste .
* Add rue to soup mix.

Oh yummy ~ THAT looks fabulous! Such a comforting thing to have soup on a cold winter night! I have cream of wild mushroom simmering on the stove right now...a new recipe I got from a friend's blog...can't wait to take the first taste. :)

Thanks for sharing this recipe, Carrie, I've been looking for chicken wild rice soup recipe, this sounds delicious.
I read your previous posts and so enjoyed them, what an adventure you are having, and with such a sweet attitude, just blesses my socks off!
