We Have Been Junking Again

Hannah and I went junking last Friday and found some wonderful treasures. I have a dish fetish. I found some of these apple shaped dishes about a year ago. I only found the 6 plates. Last week I snatched these beauties from Rusty Chandelier~6 plates, 6 bowels, 6 cups and saucers. I love to use these for brunch or Saturday morning breakfast.

The silver cake platter I found at a Garage Sale for $1.00. I bought it for my booth at Rusty Chandelier but I changed my mind. I just think I need to keep it myself. Hannah and I treated ourselves to a Mocha Latte from Dairy Queen and shopped our until our hearts were content~ we found so many treasures. Best of all~ we made memories!

I love stuff like that as well! Salvation Army is about my favorite store for treasures such as those!

Cute dishes. I think my mother-in-law has a cake top like the one in the picture. I believe it is probably many years old. Enjoy your finds.

What a fun and profitable day you had! I have never seen apple dishes ~ what a fun thing to collect and use! And $1 for that cake platter? Terrific buy! I need to come *junking* with you sometime! ;~}

Nothing like a good Garage Sale or Flea Market...I too have a dish fetish and the only thing that keeps it from getting completely out of control is full cabinets already! Great buys...My engaged daughter and I have been buying cheap china for a bridal luncheon, silver for reception, and mason jars for lemonade. It's been so fun!! Goodwill Store is a blast too. I bought my favorite 6 coffe cups for 50 cents each! Keep up the great bargains!

Very fun! I'm an antique nut. My real true love is old books. Especially the old history and English books. They have the most wonderful treasures to share in our home school!

What a wonderful day! Junking used to make me tired- my mind would be filled with so many things to do with everything I saw that I would get sensory overload. But since I've been blogging and have seen all the beautiful things out there to be reasonably had- just like the beauties you brought home with you- I'm addicted! I just can't do it all day yet. But one can hope that changes!
You were right to keep that shiny fluted edged covered cake platter. It is a gem.
Now, what kind of cake is under there- I'm hungry!

I love your finds but most important is the time you spent with your daughter. My daughter, Aly, and I loved going to antique stores before she went off to college...I miss that time with her.

I too LOVE dishes. If I had more room I'd have TONS of them. I too like "old" things. Your daughter will never forget the memories you are making. I am so glad you had a great day! Bless you!
