Have The Ants Come Dancing?~~ Natural Ant Control

Natural Ant Control

getting rid of 6
Borax is the most common ingredient in house ant control products, and get this: it's absolutely 100% natural. The best way to use Borax is to mix 1 cup of warm water with 1/2 cup of sugar, and 2 tablespoons of Borax. Then soak the Borax mixture up with cotton balls and place those cotton balls near any trails the ants have established in your home.

I have ants in my pantry - every food container is sealed but they are trying their hardest to get into the muesli! I might try this at the kitchen door. But will it work on our least favourite kind of ants - the bull ants in our garden? This is the only time when yelling really loud is permissible around here - for when one of these ants bite you it is almost unavoidable! The children see me weeding a garden bed and let me know 'Mum there's a bull ant nest in there' - that is my excuse to go inside and have a cup of tea and take a break from gardening!
Hope you are having a lovely week Carrie.

Thanks so much Carrie. I knew Borax was supposed to help rid us of them, but didn't know about the cotton ball trick.
I've been trying to figure out how to get a 3 column blog. How did you do it?

Hi Carrie,
I have used Borax before on ant control, but didn't know about mixing with sugar and water and putting it on the cotton ball .I will try this, thanks so much.
Enjoy your week,

Mornin' Carrie,
I have a similar recipe using boric acid and sugar...but I never thought of just using borax instead (sometimes it is hard to find boric acid). This recipe really does work!
