"We Must Keep Going~Kids" ~

For those of you who may be new~ Miss Billie is a special friend of mine. Miss Billie just celebrated her 86th birthday. She still drives, goes to her personal trainer and loves to garden. I spend about three days a week helping and driving Miss Billie. She has three dogs and two cats that are her children. Life is getting harder for her~her body hurts and she is weary and worn but her mind is sharp. I hear her making this statement to her beloved pets~ "We must keep on going, kids."

We don't know what tomorrow may bring but we know who it is that brings tomorrow. I have a way of pulling tomorrow's clouds over today's joys.

Ours is to trust God~ (taken from the Baptist Bread)
Ours is to trust God if He decides to kill us. (Job13:15 with Heb. 11:6)
Often I limp like Jacob~ (Gen. 32:31)
cower like Gideon~ (Judges 6:11)
fear like Israel~  (Ex.14:10)
faint like David ~  Psalms 84:2
despair of life~ (11 Cor. 1:8-9)
hurt like Paul.~  (11 Cor. 12:7-10)

Yet ~I must go on like Elisha, the great prophet that performed over ten miracles~yet in the end he died of a physical sickness. (11kings 13:11)  Paul who had the gift of healing had to leave Trophimus at Miletum sick. ( 11 Timothy 4:20)

Even when we don't understand ~the Judge of this earth will do right. How do I know?

Genesis 18:25 (King James Version)

25That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

We must always fight the pride of thinking we have all the answers. True Bible scholars will often say~ "I don't know."  Filling in the gaps that God has inspired in the Word of God is dangerous business. We must keep following Jesus~ even when we don't have all the answers.

A stranger once traveled alone though the dangerous mountains. Coming to a fork in the path, he knew not which way to go. Two men were there, one dead and the other alive. Of whom would he inquire the right fork to take?  Friend, look in the right direction. Follow the Son of God when you understand and when you don't understand.

Sometimes we will fall down. But you know what is the best thing about falling down in the Christian life? Getting up and going on. Today I am going to get up and go again. How about you?

"We must keep going kids."  -Miss Billie

Speak Life Into Your World~ Gypsy Girl Turns Another Year Older

~Happy Birthday My Gypsy Girl~

Proverbs 18:21 (King James Version)

21Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

When God created the world~and I believe that He did! He spoke the world into existence. He used His mighty voice to speak the heavens and earth into orbit.

Psalm 33:6 (King James Version)

6By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

When God created mankind in His own image~He gave us that same powerful tool. Now we are not God and can't speak the world into orbit but we still have much power in our tongue. Our words have creative potential. They can encourage or they can destroy. They can bring laughter to a child's face, they can encourage a discouraged person, they can fan a flame into a friend's dying dream, they can cheer our brothers and sisters in Christ as they struggle to fight the good fight. They can bring the message of hope that Jesus saves to a lost and dying world.

Words are so powerful~God entrusted them to us. Don't throw them around as a fool! Don't use them to back bite, gossip or point out other's faults! God gave us a beautiful gift to be used to bring life not death. Will the words out of your mouth today be used to to encourage or discourage?

I want to speak life into my little world today ~how about you?

Guess What?

We are still here~God has work for us to do. The Bible clearly tells us that Jesus Christ will return to this earth again~we best be living as His return could be today~ if not today ~than tomorrow. However~ according to Scripture we are foolish to set dates.

As I was driving the kids home from Worlds of Fun last night it began to storm and the sky began to look unusual.

I began thanking the Lord for my salvation, peace, love and joy that He has brought into my life. For His majesty, power and for His mercy and grace. We serve an awesome God. It is His desire that none perish and that all men come to Him.

As I watched the majesty of the sky unfold right before my eyes I could not help but bow my heart to the almighty Creator. God is still in charge~He is still on the throne. Man's ways are not God's ways.

These beautiful pictures were captured by my Gypsy girl at home~ I was thrilled I have pictures to show you.  It was at sunset and the beautiful display was in the western sky~ the Bible clearly states that when Christ returns He will split open the eastern sky. It was almost as if God was saying~ I am still in charge here!

Matthew 24: 33-51
33So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
45Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
 48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
 49And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Happy Lord's Day
Is this where you would want to be if Jesus came back?

Will Today Be The End Of The World?

It blows my mind away how some people get caught up in setting dates for Christ's return and the end of this age.  For over centuries man has tried to calculate and figure just when the Second Coming will be. Yet  when someone makes a new prediction there are gullible people who get on board and sell all their worldly possessions. I wonder how they feel when they wake up  the next day and it is not so?

There is a danger when man decides to start playing God. We must study our Bible! God has all the answers. If you sold everything you own ~ I am sorry but today is not the day of my Saviour's return.

 How do I know?

Matthew 13~

31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
32But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
33Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

Over the past 2000 years there have been many date setters~ and as you can see they were all wrong. There are just too many following men instead of God and His Word.

German mathematician, Michael Stifel, based on his study of Revelation, calculated that God’s Day of Judgment would be on October 19, 1533.

Charles Taze Russell, founder of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, calculated 1874 to be the year of Christ’s return. It was then changed to 1878, 1881, 1910, 1914 with later dates.

Because of men like these, and modern day fanatics, many people shy away from Biblical teachings about Christ coming again and the end of this age as we know it.

Jesus did promise He will come again. The angles assured the followers of Jesus on the day of His ascension into Heaven after His death that He would return saying~

Acts 1:11 (King James Version)

11Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

The fact is, Jesus is coming again. We just don't know when~only the Father knows the time when this life will be over. It may be tomorrow, it may be a hundred years from now, it may be thousands of years from now but He will one day come as a thief in the night. The important thing is to know that you have a reservation in Heaven and that you are ready.

If you have never received Christ as your Saviour ~today would be the perfect day. Click here to know how you can make your reservation.

Beings I am just sure today is not the end of the world I am taking three teenage boys to Worlds of Fun. Although by the end of the day at an amusement park with teenagers I may wish today was the end of the world.

You have a wonderful day~
 Peace and Blessings!

Do You See God In Everything?

I have been watching several of my blog friends who have bee hives. My Brian and I have put in a small orchard on Farming on Faith and are thinking we may be adding more as time goes by. So~we thought it may be a good idea to add a bee hive for pollination. I am not allergic to bees just bee stings~ lol. I stepped on two at the same time while visiting my in-laws in Michigan once~oh did it hurt. My foot swelled up so large I could not wear shoes the entire trip~thank goodness for my favorite ~flip-flops. I was nursing baby Hannah at the time and we both had a Benedryl induced comma for several days. Such sweet memories! My Brian says it was the most peaceful 14 hour drive home he has ever had.

Psalm 119:103 (King James Version)

103How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

After researching the bee hive and a study on their social instincts and physical makeup I must say there is a Master Designer ~ behind it all.

There are three kinds of bees in each colony. In the bee home is a queen bee, the drone~or male bee and the worker bees~the females. Imagine that! Normally a bee home will house up to 60,000 bees in an individual hive. When the queen bee mates the male drone bee dies~poor king bee! The queen bee lays up to two thousand eggs per day for two to three years from the one mating.

The worker bee then works herself to death~ making ten trips a day and will visit more than 300,000 flowers in one summer. She is literally a chemical factory. These worker bees make one kind of wax for the six- sided cells and another to seal off the entrance. This second type of wax is porous so that the baby bee can breath until it is big enough to come out of the cell.  While the worker bee gathers nectar from blossoms for honey~ pollen is unknowingly carried to other area flowers and fertilizes it enabling it to bear fruit. It that amazing or what? The cell of the honey comb is bordered on all six sides by another cell~saving space~ work and energy. Scientist call this one of the wonders of the natural world! Not a single bee knows the miracle of all of this~it is done in the darkness so to speak!
There is no question that the Almighty Creator's hand is behind it all.

I am celebrating my wonderful Creator~ on this "Merry Day of May!"
