Guess What?

We are still here~God has work for us to do. The Bible clearly tells us that Jesus Christ will return to this earth again~we best be living as His return could be today~ if not today ~than tomorrow. However~ according to Scripture we are foolish to set dates.

As I was driving the kids home from Worlds of Fun last night it began to storm and the sky began to look unusual.

I began thanking the Lord for my salvation, peace, love and joy that He has brought into my life. For His majesty, power and for His mercy and grace. We serve an awesome God. It is His desire that none perish and that all men come to Him.

As I watched the majesty of the sky unfold right before my eyes I could not help but bow my heart to the almighty Creator. God is still in charge~He is still on the throne. Man's ways are not God's ways.

These beautiful pictures were captured by my Gypsy girl at home~ I was thrilled I have pictures to show you.  It was at sunset and the beautiful display was in the western sky~ the Bible clearly states that when Christ returns He will split open the eastern sky. It was almost as if God was saying~ I am still in charge here!

Matthew 24: 33-51
33So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
 34Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
 35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
 36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
 37But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
 38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
 39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
 40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
 41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
 42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
 43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
 44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
 45Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
 46Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
 47Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
 48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
 49And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
 50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
 51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Happy Lord's Day
Is this where you would want to be if Jesus came back?

The photos says it all for me as to the Awesomeness of God, Carrie.Your Gypsy girl at home did a beautiful job.
I read some of your previous posts and was so blessed by them, especially the one of ~I Won't Cry~. I would have been in the same fix as you were, you will never know how much that hug meant to the wife of that brave soldier. I am always amazed at God's timing, and of His obedient servants.
Thank you for always uplifting me, what a joy you are to blogland!

Such beautiful photos - the skies surely do reveal the majesty of God. The rapture predictions had not been given much publicity here but it seems a lot of people knew about it - quite funny at church actually because quite a number of our folk were away on Sunday and those of us who were 'left behind' including the Pastor and his wife were surveying the empty seats with much amusement.

LOVE the billboard pic! :-) And the others are very beautiful, funny thing... I took the same pictures tonight of a double rainbow! I ran to get my daughter out of bed since she had never seen a rainbow before! (shes 4) I was in awe on how vibrant it was and how clearing it showed in the pictures! Definately seemed to be some sort of silent message from our Lord...
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and the Word of our Lord.
Have a Blessed evening!
