Homemade Spaghetti Sauce (Made From Canned Tomatoes)

1/2 cup chopped onion
3 cloves chopped garlic
4 cans diced tomatoes
1 can tomato soup
3 Tbs olive oil
1/4 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 rosemary
2 whole bay leaves
pinch of fennel seeds

* Tip~
 Add salt and  brown sugar to taste if you wish. I like a little sweet and salty!

Saute onions in oil until slightly transparent~ then add garlic and brown just a bit. Add the tomatoes and all spices. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer for about one hour.  Finally add the soup if you feel it needs to be thickened ~ you can omit if you feel it is fine without it.

I am still treating a burn that I got when my last pot of homemade spaghetti sauce bubbled up and landed on my wrist! It was good though ~ I've just decided to put off making anymore for a bit. Have a great day, Carrie.
