He Walked Her Home

This is the end to one long week. It started out with one of those phone calls you never wish to get. This week the Shindorf Family lost our mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. To me I lost the mother who gave me the greatest gift in my life...... my Brian.

I am so thankful for these two people and their committment that they had to each other. I will be forever grateful for the man they shaped and life has been so sweet for the qualities they instilled in his life.

Most importantly I am so thankful that they both gave us the assurance that they have given their hearts to Jesus and made Him their Lord and Saviour.  That is the greatest gift a parent can leave their children.... the assurance that we will see each other again. This is not the end. There are no goodbyes in Christ.

Romans 10:9,10 and 13
That if thou shalt confess with they mouth The Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon The Lord shall be saved.

After 51 years of marriage he walked her home for the final time into the gates of Heaven. What a testimony of Love! It is our loss but her gain..... She is walking on streets of gold. No matter how much she loved her family and she did -she would not come back. She is where there is  no more pain, no more sorrow, no more tears and no sad goodbyes.

We love you Mom..... See you soon!

Changed from glory into glory,
Till in Heaven we take our place,
Till we cast our crowns before thee,
Lost in wonder, love, and praise.
