I Should Have Stayed In Bed~

Oh, my stars~ this day has been full of troubles. Momma said there would be days like this. I mean one thing goes wrong and then the other.  I have worries and issues this morning just swirling around in my head. I hope you are not having a day like mine.

I have decided that I will sit right here in my comfy chair with my drink and sit at the feet of Jesus. Seems like nothing else is working today.  My phone screen is not working, My kitchen sink is backed up and I mean in the ground~ you get my picture? I need to send a resume off but my computer won't cooperate. So here I am at Jesus' feet. I am assuming He has something to tell me cause He has closed all my doors today.

As I am determined to have joy in my journey anyway ~ I start my devotions. I am working on a 30 day Bible Study and this is what I land on for today. No Kidding !!

Romans 5:3-5

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

I told my Heavenly Father in a sweet and as humble manner as I could muster up ~  I just didn't want any more patience today. He gently reminded me that He was God and that I am not. Then He gave me a big dose of being content right where I am ~ today. In the middle of all my hot messes.

I pray you have a good day and that you find your happy pants. I am off to find mine.  :)

You made me smile this evening. I have had a very good day. But...I have had days like yours and needed to be reminded just WHO is in charge of my world. I hope tomorrow is better for you.

I don't usually post, Carrie, but I do take things from your posts. I did not miss the irony of what is on your coffee cup. How gorgeous are we really when we're having our first cup in the morning ? We are greeting God and he doesn't care that we look like cold canned dog food. :-) One of my favorite sayings, and words that I try to live by are "Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the floor in the morning the devil is saying -- oh, crap, She's Up!"

And although I'm as patient as a clam there are times when I want things to happen NOW! I get stressed over things that are a little bit beyond my control. I need to stop and remember who's in charge. You always help me to remember that.

I'm sorry things aren't going your way. I have those days too. Sometimes LOTS of them. But running straight to the arms of Jesus is the answer!! He reminds us that all the little things that seem so BIG at the time, are really so minor in the scheme of His plan for our lives!! Happy Pants!!! I like that :0!!
